Vyshkiv Pass is one of the scenic mountain passes of the Ukrainian Carpathians, tucked in the southwestern part of the Gorgany range at an elevation of around 931 m above sea level. Sitting on the watershed between the Svycha River and its tributary the Myzunka, this pass has served as a natural crossroads for centuries — and today it offers travellers a genuine taste of the Carpathian highlands without the crowds.

The pass sits between the villages of Vyshkiv and Myslivka, and the landscape here is classic Carpathian: dense mixed forests covering the slopes, open ridgelines offering glimpses of the surrounding mountains, and a peaceful, unhurried atmosphere. The southern slope is somewhat steeper, while the northern side descends gently into the valley of the Ilnytsia River. Spring brings lush greenery, summer cool mountain air, and autumn transforms the beech forests into a blaze of gold and amber.

A curious historical footnote: some pre-war Polish maps incorrectly labelled this pass as both 'Vyshkivsky' and 'Torunsky' — but these are actually two separate passes, with the Torun Pass located to the south of Vyshkiv village and Vyshkiv Pass to its north.
