Sitting between the villages of Volosianka and Verkhnia Rozhanka in Lviv Oblast, the mountain has a distinct personality depending on which side you approach. The eastern and north-eastern slopes are steep and dramatic, while the north-western flank eases gradually down into the valley of the Slavka river. From the summit, the ridges of the Verkhovynskyi Watershed stretch southward in a satisfying chain of peaks, best appreciated on a clear autumn day when the forested slopes blaze with colour.
