Yayko-Perehinske (1,596 m a.s.l.) is one of the Gorgany massif's best-kept secrets — a wild, forested summit in the Ukrainian Carpathians that rewards those willing to venture off the beaten track. Located west of the village of Osmoloda in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, it offers genuine mountain solitude and pristine nature rarely found on busier peaks.

The slopes are cloaked in dense spruce-beech forest all the way up, giving way to a cap of dwarf pine scrub at the summit. Three mountain streams — Rosokhan, Mshana and Moloda — flow from its flanks into the Lomnytsya river basin, adding a pleasant soundtrack to any hike. The southern slopes are home to the 'Yaykivsky' botanical nature reserve, while the south-eastern slope holds the scenic Huky forest tract. Spring and early autumn are particularly rewarding seasons: wildflowers in the reserve, vivid foliage, and near-complete silence. Winter conditions are serious and suitable only for experienced mountaineers.

The mountain's name comes from its distinctive egg-like shape, most visible from the valley below — a charming detail that makes Yayko-Perehinske easy to spot and hard to forget.
