Mörzelspitze rises to 1,829 metres as a secondary peak of the Leuenkopf, offering hikers sweeping views that stretch all the way to Lake Constance. As the second-highest summit of the Dornbirner First ridge, it stands proudly alongside its taller neighbour while delivering an equally rewarding hiking experience.

The mountain shows two very different faces: a gentler, grassy southeastern slope dotted with alpine pastures, and a steeper, wilder northwestern flank. The summit sits right on the border between the Austrian municipalities of Dornbirn and Mellau, within the Bregenzerwald mountains. On clear days, the entire Dornbirner First ridge can be spotted from as far away as Friedrichshafen across the lake. The southern and eastern sides fall within the Hohe Kugel - Hoher Freschen - Mellental nature reserve, keeping the landscape wild and unspoiled.

On a clear day, the ridge of the Dornbirner First - including Mörzelspitze - can be seen all the way from Friedrichshafen on the far side of Lake Constance, a fact locals love to point out.
