The Rätikon is a compact yet strikingly diverse mountain range tucked into the western edge of the Eastern Alps — where Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein meet. Hikers here are treated to a remarkable variety of terrain. The Lünersee lake sits like a mirror at the heart of the range, surrounded by peaks that glow orange at sunset. The network of mountain huts — run by Austrian, German and Liechtenstein alpine clubs — makes multi-day trekking both comfortable and rewarding. With nearly 300 named summits, there is always another ridge to cross.
