Hohe Köpfe is a striking twin-summited peak in the Galina Group, part of the Rätikon range, straddling the municipalities of Frastanz and Nenzing in Austria. The higher, southern summit reaches 2066 m, while the lower, northern peak (variously given as 2040, 2045, or 2048 m) carries a simple summit cross.

Both summits stand out prominently along the ridge, with dense grass, dwarf pines, shrubs, and fir trees covering the slopes below. The top itself is largely free of vegetation, rewarding hikers with a sweeping panorama that stretches north to Ulm Minster (140 km away), northwest to the Black Forest (roughly 160 km distant), and southwest deep into the Glarus and Uri Alps, taking in peaks like the Tödi, Groß Schärhorn, and Sustenhorn. On the western flank lies the protected Natura 2000 area Spirkenwälder Saminatal, known for its mountain pine forests.

• Sattelalpe (summer-only staffed hut) – Hohe Köpfe – Galinaalpe: about 1.5 hours; the final stretch is rocky and demanding, partly secured with steel cables
• Longer circuit: Gurtis – Bazora-Alpe – Gurtisspitze – Zäwasheilspitz (Wisle) – Spitzwiesle – Spitztälespitz – Hohe Köpfe – Galinaalpe – Sattelalpe – Gurtis: roughly 8 to 12 hours (Gurtisspitze and Zäwasheilspitz can be bypassed to save time)

• The final approach is exposed and requires a good head for heights and sure-footedness – recommended only for experienced hikers
• The trail passes directly by the lower, northern summit; reaching the higher, southern summit requires a short detour of a few minutes
• The nearest trail hut is Sattelalpe, open only in summer, as are the other surrounding alpine huts

The Galina Group, to which Hohe Köpfe belongs, takes its name from the nearby Galinakopf (2198 m), which rises along the same ridge.
