Valeč Chateau is one of the most fascinating baroque residences in the Doupov Mountains region - a place where history meets extraordinary sculptural art by Matyáš Bernard Braun. This is no ordinary furnished castle - the interiors are presented in their raw, authentic state, letting visitors see architectural details that will disappear once restoration is complete.

The chateau is surrounded by an extensive landscape park, laid out on the site of a former baroque garden with fountains, terraces and sculpture-lined avenues. Today it's a picturesque place to stroll through all year round - green and lively in spring and summer, striking with autumn colours among the old trees. Twelve species of bats hibernate in the park and cellars, making it the most significant known wintering site in the entire Doupov Mountains area.
