Meluzína (1,095 m a.s.l.) is a quiet but rewarding summit sitting right on the crest of the central Ore Mountains, just three kilometres east of the range's highest point, Klínovec. It offers sweeping cross-border views and a genuinely peaceful atmosphere that sets it apart from its busier neighbour.

Because the peak sits directly on the main ridge of the Ore Mountains, the panorama stretches in every direction. To the west you see the unmistakable bulk of Klínovec; to the north the German side opens up with Fichtelberg, the wind turbines near Háj u Loučné, and the rounded tops of Bärenstein and Pöhlberg. Looking east, Velký Špičák, Jelení hora and Měděnec come into view, while to the south the Ohře valley and the town of Ostrov nad Ohří complete the picture. The terrain is open and grassy near the top, making it pleasant in all seasons — cool in summer, beautifully coloured in autumn, and a great snowshoe or ski-touring destination in winter.

Look closely at the rocks near the summit and you may spot coarse-grained bands containing quartz, amphibole and zoisite — a small but genuine geological highlight of this unassuming peak.
