The Museum of the Liptov Village in Pribylina is an open-air museum unlike any other — it was created to rescue authentic farmhouses and buildings from villages flooded during the construction of the Liptovská Mara reservoir. Walking its paths feels like stepping back in time to a world of wooden cottages, traditional crafts and mountain farming life.

Set in a scenic valley with the High Tatras and Low Tatras forming a stunning backdrop, the museum is a pleasure to visit in any season. Summer brings lush greenery and a relaxed pace, autumn wraps everything in warm golden tones, and a dusting of winter snow turns the old wooden buildings into something truly magical.
