Mládky (1,945 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding peak in the Liptov Tatras of the Western Tatras — a quieter alternative to the more famous neighbouring summits, yet offering a full 360-degree panorama that will leave you genuinely speechless. It sits in the ridge of Baranec, above the Trnov Valley, roughly 12 km northeast of Liptovský Mikuláš.

The summit combines open alpine meadows with rocky outcrops, giving it a classic High Tatra feel without the crowds. On a clear day you can see the surrounding peaks of the Western Tatras, the nearby valleys, the Podtatranská Basin and parts of the High Tatras. Under favourable conditions the Chočské vrchy hills, Malá and Veľká Fatra, the Low Tatras and even more distant ranges come into view. The terrain is equally beautiful across seasons — wildflowers in spring, crisp open skies in summer, fiery valley colours in autumn.

• From the northwest — from Baranec (2,185 m) via Malý Baranec (2,044 m) — green ridge trail, moderate difficulty

• The peak lies within Tatra National Park — national park regulations apply.
• A marked hiking trail (green) crosses the summit.
• Nearest villages are Pribylina and Jakubovany to the south.

Mládky sits in the southeastern spur of Baranec and forms part of the tranquil, less-visited world of the Liptov Tatras — a great reason to explore beyond the tourist hotspots.
