Doubí Chateau rises proudly on a promontory above the Ohře River, in the Doubí district of Karlovy Vary. With roots tracing back to the 14th century and a striking neo-Renaissance facade touched with Moorish architectural flourishes, it's the kind of unexpected sight that makes hikers stop and take a second look.

The surrounding landscape is a gentle river valley, with the trail hugging the Ohře as it winds toward the famous Svatošské Rocks. The terrain here is easy and pleasant year-round - lush green parkland in spring, golden reflections on the water in autumn.
