Tisovský vrch (976 m a.s.l.) is a welcoming summit in the western Ore Mountains, crowned by a remarkable 24-metre granite observation tower built in 1897 — a listed cultural monument and one of the finest viewpoints in the region. The landscape around the peak is quintessential Ore Mountains: rolling wooded ridges, scattered villages and quiet valleys north of the town of Nejdek. From the tower's gallery at 18 metres, you look out over the Nejdek area and the western Ore Mountains. On a clear day, the summit of Dyleň and Třebouňský vrch stand out sharply; on exceptionally clear days, the view stretches all the way to the hills around Stříbro and Tachov. Each season brings its own mood — golden autumn colours in the forests, a snowy hush in winter, and fresh green in spring.

The tower was built in 1897 by the Nejdek Ore Mountains Union and stood in near-ruinous condition by the mid-1980s before a thorough restoration in 1986–1987 saved it for future generations — making every step up those 111 stairs feel well earned.
