Rudawski Landscape Park is one of Lower Silesia's most diverse natural treasures — over 15,700 hectares of mountains, rocky outcrops, river valleys and flower-rich meadows waiting to be explored. The Bóbr River cuts a spectacular gorge right through the heart of the park, while granite and gneiss formations create dramatic rocky landscapes at every turn.

The park brings together several distinct mountain ranges: the Rudawy Janowickie, the Sokolie Hills, the Karpnickie Hills, the Ołowiane Mountains and the Lisie Hills — each with its own personality. Spring fills the protected meadows with rare wildflowers, summer offers sweeping views towards the Karkonosze and Kaczawskie Mountains from rocky ridges, autumn transforms the forests into a blaze of gold and red, and winter turns the park into a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path retreat. With 152 km of marked hiking trails, there is something for everyone — from easy riverside walks to more demanding ridge hikes.

• Janowice Wielkie — excellent base for the central Rudawy Janowickie, reachable by train from Jelenia Góra; multiple colour-marked trails lead to ridges and rock formations, difficulty: moderate
• Kowary or Mysłakowice — eastern and western entry points, accessible by car or bus from Jelenia Góra; trails range from easy to demanding
• Ciechanowice / Marciszów area — gateway to the Ołowiane Mountains in the northern part of the park; quieter trails, difficulty: easy to moderate

• The park overlaps with four Natura 2000 habitats — take extra care near Stawy Karpnickie and Trzcinskie Mokradła wetlands
• 54 protected vascular plant species grow here — stay on marked trails, especially across meadows
• The Limestone Adit in Ciechanowice (90 m long) is a winter roost for bats — seasonal access restrictions may apply

It is worth knowing that the park is home to 203 vertebrate species, and the rare fungi sheltering inside the old calcite-vein adit make it one of the most unusual protected sites in the entire Sudeten foothills.
