Szubieniczna is a quiet, forest-cloaked peak in the Rudawy Janowickie range, part of the Western Sudetes in southwestern Poland. It's a place for hikers who value solitude and deep woodland trails over dramatic panoramas.

The whole massif is almost entirely covered in forest, giving it a hushed, shaded character — cool and green in summer, blazing with color in autumn, and silent under snow in winter. The peak sits between Skalnik to the west and Jagoda to the east, on a side ridge branching off from the Skalnik massif. Expect the typical Sudeten landscape of gentle, wooded ridgelines rather than rocky drama.

The name Szubieniczna (German: Galgenberg, meaning 'Gallows Hill') hints at a dark past as a former execution site, adding an intriguing edge to the walk. Geologically, it belongs to the eastern envelope of the Karkonosze granite, made up of ancient mica schists and amphibolites formed in the early Paleozoic.
