Lwia Góra (718 m) is one of the most distinctive summits in the Rudawy Janowickie range, famous for its impressive granite rock formations crowning the top. The Starościńskie Skały rocks form a picturesque miniature rock town, full of windows, ledges and weathering pans that will delight any lover of mountain scenery.

The peak has a clearly defined, dome-shaped summit with steep northern, southwestern and northeastern slopes, making it easily recognizable from the valley of the Karpnicki Potok stream. The slopes are covered in spruce monoculture mixed with beech trees, offering deep shade in summer and vivid colours in autumn. On the northwestern side of the summit stands a viewing platform with sweeping panoramas of the Kaczawskie Mountains and the Rudawy Janowickie range. The slopes hide many lesser-known rock formations with evocative names like Turtle, Snail, Camel, Beak and Ant Rock, plus a small pseudokarst cave and remains of an old quarry.

• Several forest roads and paths traverse the slopes below the summit, offering alternative approaches

• The summit lies within the Rudawski Landscape Park
• On the northwestern slope, around 700 m elevation, is the 9-metre-long Schronisko Starościńskie, a small talus cave
• Near the saddle between Lwia Góra and Świnia Góra, at 640 m, lies the old Pieklisko quarry with a small pond
