Roháčska Valley is one of the most welcoming valleys in the Western Tatras — a peaceful, green corridor carved by the Studený stream, leading deep into the mountains to a cluster of five alpine lakes known as the Roháč Lakes. Whether you are a seasoned hiker or simply looking for an easy mountain stroll, this valley has something special to offer.

The atmosphere here changes beautifully with the seasons: in summer the valley is lush and cool, with the sound of the stream accompanying every step; in autumn the forests glow with warm colours; and in winter a blanket of snow transforms it into a quiet, fairy-tale landscape. Near the valley entrance at Zverovka lies the lowest-altitude lake in the entire Tatras — Pleso pod Zverovkou at just 983 m above sea level — a surprising and charming detail that sets this valley apart.

• The trail is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users — it has a paved asphalt surface over its entire 3.1 km length

• The trail runs from Zverovka to the Ťatliakova chata hut

It is worth knowing that Pleso pod Zverovkou holds the record as the lowest-lying lake in the whole Tatras — and you can admire it almost as soon as you set off from the trailhead.
