Revúcka dolina is a wonderful valley tucked into the heart of the Veľká Fatra mountains in Slovakia, and it is the kind of place that keeps drawing you back. Running along the middle stretch of the Revúca river, it separates the main ridge of Veľká Fatra from the Zvolen group, acting as a natural gateway into the massif. The valley has a long, open character — the Revúca river winds gently through it, flanked by the village of Liptovské Revúce stretched along its banks. At the upper end, near the confluence of the Korytnica stream, sits the charming settlement of Liptovská Osada. Several side valleys branch off in both directions: on the left you will find Zelená dolina, Veľká Turecká and Teplá dolina, while the right side offers Veľká Sutecká and Veľký Hričkov. The upper portion transitions into Suchá dolina. In spring the valley bursts with greenery and the sound of rushing water; summer makes it a perfect base for summit hikes; and autumn turns the forested slopes into a blaze of gold.
