Liberec Heights is a small hill on the edge of Liberec that hides a real curiosity - a restaurant with a lookout tower shaped like a romantic little castle. It's the perfect short excursion right outside the city, where architecture meets sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.

The hill has a cozy, wooded character, and the tower, built to resemble the watchtower of Nuremberg Castle, gives the place a fairy-tale atmosphere. From the viewing terrace you can see most of Liberec, with the iconic Ještěd rising to the southwest, Císařský kámen with its own lookout tower to the south, and Jablonec spreading out to the southeast. In spring and summer the surrounding forests are lush and green, autumn brings golden colors, and on clear winter days the mountain panorama is especially crisp.

The tower was built between 1900 and 1901 by textile manufacturer Heinrich Liebieg, and weathered stone blocks along with blackened roof tiles from demolished buildings in Nuremberg were used to create the illusion of an ancient stone castle.
