Bramberk is a charming peak in the Jizera Mountains topped with a striking 21-metre granite observation tower built in 1912 — a perfect blend of mountain scenery and living history. Sitting at 787 metres above sea level on a side ridge of the Krásný massif, Bramberk offers the calm, wooded character typical of the Jizera Mountains. From the tower's gallery, reached by 96 steps, you can take in rolling ridgelines and peaceful valleys below. Summer brings cool shade under the trees, autumn transforms the forest into a canvas of warm colours, and winter wraps the whole scene in a quiet, nordic stillness. It makes for an easy and rewarding outing at any time of year.

• Lučany nad Nisou — the nearest town and current leaseholder of the tower; forest trails lead up the ridge, difficulty: easy to moderate.

• The observation tower is open May to September — weekends only, and daily during the summer school holidays.
• The tower may be closed in poor weather or low visibility conditions.
• A historic mountain hut dating back to 1892 stands right next to the tower.
• The tower has been a listed cultural monument since July 2015.

The very first lookout here was a wooden three-storey tower opened on 4 August 1889 by the Lučany section of the Mountain Club — the current granite tower, designed by Jablonec architect Robert Hemmrich and ceremonially opened on 16 June 1912, is its proud and enduring successor.
