Nekras (859 m a.s.l.) is one of those summits in the Jizera Mountains that gives you more than just a hike — at the top stands the Královka lookout tower, one of the most iconic stone observation towers in the entire range. It sits less than a kilometre from Bedřichov, yet feels wonderfully remote.

The peak lies right on the main European watershed, separating the Baltic Sea drainage (Jizera → Elbe) from the North Sea drainage (Neisse → Oder) — a quietly remarkable geographical fact. In summer the surrounding forests and meadows are perfect for relaxed walks; in winter Nekras becomes a key waypoint on the Jizerská Magistrála, a famous cross-country skiing route. On a clear day the view from the tower stretches across the Jizera Mountains, the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše), Bohemian Paradise, and all the way into Poland and Germany.

• Cycling routes 3020 and 3023 also lead directly to the summit

• Královka tower stands 23.5 m tall; the viewing platform is at 20.5 m and is reached via 102 steps
• A mountain hut with a restaurant and accommodation operates next to the tower (built in 1934)
• A paved road from Bedřichov leads to the car park near the hut — easy car access

Královka was built in 1907 from local stone and has been a beloved landmark for over a century — proof that some places only get better with age.
