Łagodna is a gentle, low-key summit in the foothills of the Karkonosze Mountains, offering exactly what its name suggests - an easy, relaxed walk through peaceful forest scenery. It's a great pick for hikers who want fresh mountain air without a demanding climb.
Built of Karkonosze granite, the peak sits between Bucznik and Świerczyna, close to Michałowice, a district of the town of Piechowice. The surrounding landscape is typical of the foothill zone - rolling hills, dense forest and a calm, unhurried atmosphere that suits every season. In summer the woods offer welcome shade, autumn brings rich colours to the trail, and winter wraps the area in quiet snow. Between Łagodna and Świerczyna lies a well-known crossroads called Trzy Jawory, a handy landmark for anyone exploring the area.
How to reach the summit
The Droga pod Reglami trail, passing at the foot of Łagodna, runs from Szklarska Poręba through Jagniątków and Zachełmie all the way to Przesieka - a popular way to combine several foothill attractions into one longer hike.
