Kamenný vrch (382 m) is a modest hill in the Bohemian Paradise region hiding a surprising natural gem - a sandstone rock ridge shaped by centuries of weathering into strange and striking forms. It's a small-scale wonder, perfect for travelers who enjoy quiet corners off the main trails.

The protected area covers just 0.39 hectares on the hill's western slope, within the Kokořínsko - Máchův kraj Protected Landscape Area. The sandstone ridge displays selective weathering patterns and iron-rich incrustations that give the rock a rugged, almost sculptural appearance. Two rock towers rise in the eastern part, while the western section features a smaller ridge, 28 metres long and 12 metres high, topped by a genuine rocking stone measuring 1.81 by 7 by 1.5 metres - it shifts about 5 centimetres under light pressure. The setting feels especially atmospheric in autumn, when the iron-toned rock glows in the low sun, and in winter, when frost highlights every crevice and texture.
