Hubertky is a quiet, forested summit in the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory), tucked right against the Czech-German border less than 2 km northwest of Boží Dar. This is a spot for hikers who enjoy peaceful forest walks rather than sweeping panoramas.

The summit is covered in dense spruce forest that blocks any view in every direction. The atmosphere is raw and typical of the higher Ore Mountains plateau - in winter the area gets properly snowy and calls for sturdy footwear, while in summer the forest offers welcome shade. It's a place better suited to quiet walking and connecting with nature than to photographing panoramas.

How to reach the summit

• Boží Dar — cycle route no. 2008 heading northwest, about 1700 m, then an unmarked path turning right toward the border crossing, followed by a border clearing heading west for about 300 m - easy route, time depends on pace
• No marked hiking trail leads directly to the summit

Practical information

• The highest point on Czech territory (1033 m) lies exactly on the state border
• About 300 m east of the summit is a Czech-German tourist border crossing
• A road between Boží Dar and Horní Blatná runs along the southern slope, following the historic Blatenský Canal, built between 1540 and 1544

Even without views from the top, it's worth appreciating the nearby Blatenský Canal - an impressive piece of 16th-century water engineering that still channels water from the Boží Dar peat bogs down to Horní Blatná.
