Holičský vrch is a modest but characterful hill near the village of Lázně Kundratice, perfect for hikers who enjoy quiet forest walks rather than crowded viewpoints. It's the kind of place that rewards curiosity over ambition.

The hill forms an asymmetrical ridge running east-west, twisting toward a southwest-northeast direction near the summit itself. It belongs to a larger, intricate group of elevations arranged roughly like a right triangle, alongside the nearby point of 464 m and the peak of Horka (467 m). Between these three elevations lies a deep, heart-shaped ravine, almost entirely enclosed by a western ridge spur. Geologically, the area is shaped by veins of melilitic and basaltic rock and breccias running through a mantle of Upper Cretaceous quartz sandstones, which form scattered rocky outcrops on the slopes. The lower slopes are covered in coniferous forest, giving way to deciduous woodland higher up, and numerous clearings offer limited but pleasant glimpses of the surrounding countryside.

How to reach the summit

• Parking area by the road to former Holičky (north of the hill) — several forest paths lead up to the summit, short and easy walk
• The neighboring peak of Horka is reached faster from the east, starting near Zábrdí

Because several small peaks cluster closely together here, it's easy to combine a walk up Holičský vrch with a visit to its neighboring summits in a single outing.
