Vidim Chateau is a quiet, lesser-known baroque gem tucked into the upper part of the village of Vidim, right across from the Church of St. Martin. It's not a bustling tourist stop, but that's exactly its charm — a peaceful glimpse into local history along your walk through the Mělník region.

The building has an elongated H-shaped floor plan and rises two stories high, surrounded by a well-kept park enclosed by a massive stone wall. The atmosphere here is calm and a little melancholic, especially in autumn when the old trees in the park turn golden. Since the chateau now serves as a retirement home, you can't wander inside, but strolling around the park grounds and admiring the facade from outside makes for a pleasant rest stop on any regional hike.
