Zavlekov is a small, atmospheric medieval fortress ruin tucked away in the forests of the Klatovy district. It is a rewarding find for travelers who enjoy quiet historical sites off the beaten path, far from crowds and full of old-world charm.

The ruin sits on a rocky outcrop separated by a neck ditch, giving it a striking, dramatic setting. The surviving walls reach the height of the first floor, while romantic 19th-century alterations - including a round bastion added in the northwest corner - lend the site an air of mystery. The surrounding woodland makes for a particularly moody atmosphere in autumn and spring, perfect for photography and peaceful walks.
