Sedlo (905 m a.s.l.) is a broad, forested summit in the Šumava foothills that stands out as the natural landmark of its neighbourhood. It combines sweeping views toward the Šumava mountains, an ancient Celtic hillfort, and a handsome wooden observation tower — all reached by a gentle forest trail.

The ridge runs northwest to southeast, with some gentle slopes and some dramatically steep, rocky flanks — particularly on the southern side, where the rocky viewpoint platform drops away into a sheer cliff tens of metres deep. The summit area is scattered with interesting rock formations. The forest wraps around the hill on most sides, so the best open views toward Šumava unfold from the tower or from the natural rock platform to the south. In autumn the beech forest turns golden and the trails grow wonderfully quiet.

• From Kašperk Castle direction — red trail, steep slope, difficulty: moderate

• A wooden observation tower (opened 13 December 2009) stands on the summit and is freely accessible — the viewing platform is at 23.75 m, total tower height 27.75 m.
• A covered shelter with a table and benches is available at the top; several rest spots line the trail from Albrechtice.
• A traditional New Year's Eve hike from Albrechtice to the summit takes place annually — worth looking up before you plan a late-December visit.

Local legend has it that one of the castles of the Šumava giants once stood here — built after their first stronghold near Popelná grew too small. And a charming modern story: the observation tower was partly crowd-funded, with donors sponsoring individual steps, and their names are still inscribed on 'their' stairs today.
