Javorník (1,066 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Javornická Highlands, rising above the charming village of the same name in the Prachatice district of the Bohemian Forest region. What draws visitors here is not just the summit itself, but the impressive Klostermann Lookout Tower — a 39-metre stone tower with a viewing platform 30 metres above the ground offering sweeping panoramas.

The landscape around Javorník is classic Šumava spruce forest, quiet and atmospheric in every season. In summer the trails are cool and shaded, in autumn the hillsides glow golden, and in winter a thick blanket of snow makes the whole area feel wonderfully remote.
