MűvészetMalom is one of the most unusual exhibition spaces in Hungary, housed in a former sawmill building from the late 19th century in the heart of Szentendre. It is far more than a museum - it is a lively center for contemporary art, hosting exhibitions, concerts and cross-disciplinary events throughout the year.
Wandering through the charming streets of Szentendre's old town, it is well worth stepping into this unique venue, where the industrial character of the historic building meets modern art. The complex is made up of four sections - the north wing, central wing, south wing and an enclosed courtyard - offering plenty of space for diverse artistic forms, from painting to sculpture. The atmosphere shifts with each new exhibition, and the old mill setting gives every show a distinctive character regardless of the season.
How to get thereThe venue was founded on the idea of painters Dezső Korniss and Pál Deim, with the long-term aim of establishing Szentendre as an international art brand.
