Kő-hegy is a 366-metre peak on the border of Szentendre and Pomáz, one of the southernmost mountains of the Visegrád Hills. It's an extinct volcano, and the rocks at the summit still bear traces of its fiery past from millions of years ago.

The landscape here is wonderfully varied - volcanic rock formations, caves, and a small lake give the area a distinctive character that draws hikers throughout the year. In spring and summer the surrounding forests turn lush green, autumn brings vivid colours to the slopes, and winter offers quieter, peaceful trails. The mountain also carries a bit of literary history: Hungary's national poet Sándor Petőfi hiked here in the 1840s, and a memorial plaque on the Pomáz side commemorates his visit.
