Prédikálószék is a peak in the Visegrád Mountains, right on the border of Komárom-Esztergom and Pest counties, famous for one of the finest panoramas over the Danube Bend. Its rocky summit resembles a pulpit, which gave the mountain its name.

From the top, a spectacular view opens over the Danube Bend, the Börzsöny hills, the towns of Nagymaros and Visegrád, and even distant Mount Naszály rising above Vác. A cross stands on the summit, and benches and tables near the rocks invite hikers to rest and picnic. In 2016, a 12-metre lookout tower designed by architect József Koller was completed, quickly becoming a popular destination - it now welcomes over 50,000 visitors a year.

How to reach the summit

• Dobogókő - red triangle trail via Vadálló-kövek to the Szentfa chapel, moderate difficulty
• From Dömös or via the Rám ravine (uphill direction only) as an alternative route
• Also accessible from Lepence, Pilisszentlászló, Szentendre-Izbég (via Dömörkapu-Sikáros), and Pilisszentkereszt, via the Királykúti saddle

• The Rám ravine may only be hiked uphill

The name Prédikálószék comes from its pulpit-shaped rocky peak, mirroring the German term Predigerstuhl - literally meaning 'preacher's chair'.
