Nestled at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains, this elegant villa was once home to the German Nobel Prize-winning writer Gerhart Hauptmann. Today it houses a museum dedicated to his life and work, offering visitors a charming blend of literary history and mountain scenery.

Built in 1901 to a design by Berlin architect Hans Grisebach, the house stands out with its refined architecture, set against the calm, foothill landscape of Jelenia Góra. The surrounding area of Jagniątków, with views toward the nearby Karkonosze peaks, has its own quiet charm in every season — lush green hillsides in summer invite further hiking, while snow-covered slopes in winter make the historic villa look even more picturesque.
