Snilovské sedlo (1,524 m) is one of the most rewarding and accessible mountain passes in the Kriváň Malá Fatra range. Nestled between Veľký Kriváň to the west and Chleb to the east, it greets visitors with open grassy terrain and sweeping views that make the effort — or the gondola ride — feel entirely worth it.
The pass has a wonderfully open character: grassy slopes, fresh mountain air and panoramas stretching in almost every direction. In summer it is a sun-drenched spot perfect for a well-earned rest, while autumn colours the surrounding hillsides in rich golds and browns. In winter, the area transforms into the Vrátna Free Time Zone ski resort, buzzing with activity.
How to reach the viewpointThe gondola lift, installed in 2005 to replace an older chairlift, opened this spectacular ridge to everyone — a rare case where a mountain pass truly belongs to all.
