Červenohorské sedlo is one of the most popular mountain passes in the Eastern Sudetes — sitting at 1013 m above sea level on the historical border between Moravia and Silesia, right in the heart of the Hrubý Jeseník range. Whether you come for hiking, cycling, skiing or simply to soak in the mountain atmosphere, this pass has something to offer in every season.

The saddle sits between the peaks of Červená hora and Velký Klínovec, surrounded by the ridges of the Keprník and Praděd massifs. Views from the pass itself are partly framed by buildings and forest, but the surrounding landscape is stunning — especially in winter when the whole area transforms into a lively ski resort with both downhill and cross-country trails, including the famous Jeseník ski trail 'Jesenická magistrála'. In summer, it serves as a perfect base for exploring the wild highlands of Jeseníky on foot or by bike. One fascinating geographical detail: the pass sits exactly on the Great European Watershed — rainwater on one side flows to the Baltic Sea, on the other to the Black Sea.

About 450 m northwest of the pass along the red trail on the slopes of Červená hora, you will find a small wooden chapel dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Jeseníky mountains — built in 2013 as a replica of a historic church that once stood at Vřesová studánka. It is a quietly moving place well worth a short detour.
