Červená hora (1,333 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Hrubý Jeseník range of the Czech Sudetes, sitting right on the classic ridge trail that links Červenohorské sedlo with Keprník and Šerák. Its open summit meadow, rocky outcrops and surprisingly rich flora make it a highlight worth stepping off the main trail for.

The atmosphere here is quiet and genuinely alpine. The small bald summit opens up views across the rolling ridges of Jeseník, while the rocky outcrops lend the landscape a rugged edge. The eastern slopes fall within the Sněžná kotlina Nature Reserve, so the wildlife and vegetation are exceptionally well preserved. Just below the summit lies the Vřesová studánka spring — a peaceful spot where, in times past, a Chapel of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows and a tourist hut once stood.

• From Keprník — red ridge trail, approx. 5 km; moderate difficulty.
• Alternative route via the sub-summit Točník — green trail; moderate difficulty.

• The yellow summit trail branches off the red ridge trail, crosses the summit area and rejoins the red trail at the Sedlo pod Vřesovou studánkou junction.
• Eastern slopes are protected within the Sněžná kotlina Nature Reserve — please stay on marked trails.

The chapel and hut that once stood by the Vřesová studánka spring are long gone, but the spring still flows — a quiet reminder of the mountain's rich tourism history.
