Vozka (1,377 m a.s.l.) is one of those quietly rewarding summits that feels genuinely wild — the eighth highest peak in Hrubý Jeseník and the second highest in the Keprnická hornatina range. Its rocky crown and sweeping panoramas make it well worth the effort.

The summit is crowned by striking 7-metre schist rock formations packed with crystals of staurolite — a real treat for geology enthusiasts. The terrain around the top is covered by sparse spruce forest, while at elevations between 1,310 and 1,340 metres you'll find atmospheric peat bogs that add a sense of true wilderness. On a clear day, the circular panorama from the summit rocks stretches across the entire Hrubý Jeseník massif, and with exceptional visibility you can spot the Krkonoše, Beskydy and even the Tatras on the horizon. In winter the mountain feels remote and demanding; in summer the bogs and meadows burst with colour.

Local legend tells of a coachman who got his wagon stuck in the peat bog and tried to free his wheels by wedging loaves of bread underneath them. As punishment for wasting food, he and his wagon were turned to stone — giving Vozka its summit rocks and its name ('vozka' means 'coachman' in Czech).
