Poselský Pond is a broad, peaceful stretch of water surrounded by peat bogs and wetland meadows, lying between the village of Obora and the town of Doksy. It's a place for those seeking quiet, waterfowl, and scenery entirely different from rocky peaks - flat, damp, and full of life.

The area around the pond is striking from the first glance - a flat basin bordered on one side by gently rising sandstone hills. In summer the air fills with the calls of water birds, in autumn mist drifts over the bogs, and in winter the whole place turns into a landscape of stillness. Nearby lies the small, forested Mariánský Pond, overgrown with reeds and surrounded by pine woods - a perfect short detour from the main pond.

This is one of the few places in the Czech Republic where the rare marsh whorl snail can be found, and the ponds belong to the historic Doksy-Jestřebí pond system, built over centuries for fish farming.
