Havířský vrch is a modest but scenic hill rising above the shores of Lake Mácha, one of the most beloved lake destinations in northern Bohemia. It's an easy, rewarding walk offering wide views over water, forest and sandstone rock formations, just far enough from the crowds of Doksy to feel like a quiet discovery.

The hill belongs to a tight cluster of elevations on the lake's northeastern shore, alongside Borný, Malý Borný and several unnamed sandstone outcrops such as Čihadlo and Holubí skála. From various points along the rocky ledges, you get open views of Lake Mácha, the elevated Hradčanská pahorkatina plateau, the Polomené hory range and the Bezdězská vrchovina hills. In summer the area buzzes with hikers and lake-goers, while in autumn and winter the hill takes on a calm, almost secluded atmosphere among pine woods and weathered rock.

• Doksy / Staré Splavy - turn off the green-marked trail that runs together with the Se Čtyřlístkem nature trail around Blaťák, short walk, easy difficulty
• Park at the road between Doksy and Staré Splavy or at one of the lakeside campsites and continue on foot

• The nearest parking is along the Doksy - Staré Splavy road or at campsites by Lake Mácha
• The route shares its path with the educational Se Čtyřlístkem nature trail around Blaťák

The sandstone ledges here are a favourite spot for landscape photographers, especially at sunset when the light plays across the surface of Lake Mácha.
