Wilde Leck is one of the most demanding summits in the Stubai Alps - a granite peak with sharply defined ridges that draws experienced mountaineers looking for a serious alpine challenge. It rises directly west of the Sulztalferner glacier, about 5.5 km northeast of Sölden, towering above the Ötztal valley.

The mountain has a rugged, high-alpine character - solid granite rock, exposed ridgelines, and views toward its neighbor Zahme Leck (3226 m) and the surrounding glaciers. This is a route for those with mountaineering experience, ready to combine glacier travel with rock climbing. In summer the terrain opens up from beneath the ice, but the ascent still demands confidence on rock and comfort navigating glaciated ground.

How to reach the summit

• Approach via the Sulztalferner glacier followed by the east ridge - an alpine route, grade IV (mostly II-III UIAA), demanding
• South face - formerly a marked II-III route, no longer passable following a rockslide
