Súšava (1,129 m) is a quiet, forested peak in the Orava Beskids, tucked into a side ridge of Pilsko above the village of Mútne. It's a place for hikers who want to escape the crowds and enjoy a genuinely wild corner of the mountains.
The summit is covered by patchy forest that opens up here and there to reveal views of the surrounding Orava Beskids peaks, and on clear days even the Kysuce and Moravian-Silesian Beskids, Malá Fatra, Oravská Magura, the Chočské vrchy, and the Low and High Tatras. In winter the slopes turn into a peaceful snowy landscape, in summer the forest and meadows glow green, and autumn brings rich, colorful woods.
