Solanská hora is a hidden gem in the České středohoří (Central Bohemian Uplands), rising just a kilometer southeast of the village of Skalice. This is a peak for adventurous hikers who don't mind leaving the marked trails behind — no official path leads to its summit.

The mountain forms an elongated ridge running east-west, a remnant of an ancient volcanic mantle made of nephelinite and limburgite resting on subvolcanic breccia. It has three sub-peaks: the highest western one (637.7 m), the middle Dlouhý vrch (618 m), and the eastern Třtín (601 m). The steeper southern slopes reveal small rock outcrops and boulder fields, while the base is marked by landslides disturbing an old solifluction mantle. Most of the mountain is covered in spruce and oak forest, but scattered open patches preserve rare warmth-loving flora and feather grass — a real treat for nature lovers, especially in spring and summer when the meadows bloom.
