Rogata Turnia is the highest point of the Granaty Wielickie group, rising to 2420 m in the Slovak High Tatras. Its distinctive horned silhouette, visible from a distance, gives the peak its name and instantly catches the eye of anyone wandering the Velická Valley area.

This is a rugged, rocky summit set on a side ridge branching off from Staroleśny Szczyt, surrounded by other rock towers such as Mała Granacka Turnia, Granacki Róg, and Podufała Turnia. The scenery here is classic wild High Tatras terrain — steep walls, saddles, and notches. In summer the rock faces bake in the sun, while in winter the whole area turns into a stark, snow-covered fortress. This is a place for experienced mountaineers, not casual walkers.

• The Rogata Turnia massif is not accessible to regular hikers — there are no marked tourist trails leading to the top.
• For climbers, the most convenient approach is from the Velická Valley side.

• The summit is reserved strictly for climbers, off the marked tourist paths.
• The first recorded summer ascent took place in 1900, with the first winter ascent following only in 1955.

Though Rogata Turnia stays out of reach for the average hiker, the sight of its jagged form from the lower reaches of the Velická Valley is one of those views that stays with you long after the trip.
