Mrvova Kykula is a peak on the eastern edge of the Kysucká vrchovina range, rising above the village of Oravská Lesná. It's a quiet, less-visited spot perfect for hikers who want sweeping views without the crowds.
The patchy forest cover and open summit meadow give an almost all-round panorama. On clear days you can spot the surrounding hills of the Kysucká vrchovina and Oravská Magura, the border ridge of the Orava and Kysuce Beskids, Malá Fatra, Javorníky, and occasionally even the High Tatras. The ridge here forms the natural divide between the Kysuce and Orava regions, so you're literally walking along a border of two distinct landscapes.
How to reach the summitThis remote corner of the Kysuce hills rewards those willing to stray slightly off the marked paths with unspoiled quiet and wide-open views.
