Majcherowa (1,105 m a.s.l.) is a forested summit sitting right on the Polish-Slovak border in the Wielka Racza Group of the Beskid Żywiecko-Kisucki range. It may not offer sweeping open views, but it more than makes up for it with a wild, peaceful atmosphere and the quiet thrill of walking along the Great European Watershed.

The summit is entirely covered by forest today — the former Majcherowa Clearing, which gave the peak its name, has long since been reclaimed by trees. In summer the trails wind through green beech and spruce woodland; in autumn the hillsides turn gold and crimson. The peak sits between Majów (1,135 m) and Wielka Rycerzowa (1,226 m), and just to its northwest lies the Dziobaki nature reserve, protecting a stretch of primeval Beskid forest.

• From Przegibek Pass — red trail, running along the main border ridge through the summit of Majcherowa towards Przełęcz pod Rycerzową. Moderate difficulty.
• Blue trail — traverses the slopes of Majcherowa on the Polish side, roughly along the 1,000 m contour line, bypassing the actual summit. A historical curiosity: this route dates from the post-war period when trails were not permitted to follow the border for military reasons.

• The summit lies exactly on the Polish-Slovak state border; the red trail follows the border ridge.
• Majcherowa falls within the village of Rycerka Górna (Rajcza commune, Żywiec County, Silesian Voivodeship).
• The Dziobaki forest nature reserve lies just to the northwest — please stay on marked trails.

The name 'Majcherowa' comes from the old Majcherowa Clearing that once spread across its southeastern ridge — the glade is long gone, but its memory lives on in the name of this quiet, border-straddling peak.
