Bukovina is a quiet, densely forested peak in the Orava Beskids, ideal for hikers who enjoy off-the-beaten-path routes far from crowded trails. With no marked tourist path leading to its summit, it rewards those willing to navigate forest tracks in search of solitude.

The peak sits on a short ridge branching southeast from the main range, between Úšust and Talapkov Beskyd. Thick forest cover, occasionally thinning out, limits views from the top, but from spots with lower vegetation you can glimpse the surrounding peaks of the Orava, Kysuce, Silesian and Żywiec Beskids, as well as Orava Magura, Kysuce Highlands, and Malá Fatra — on clear days even the Tatras appear on the horizon. The area lies within the Upper Orava Protected Landscape Area, reflecting its wild, largely untouched character. In winter, the lack of marked paths makes navigation more demanding.

• Follow the blue-marked ridge trail from Rycierova hora to Úšust, then continue through a faint saddle to reach Bukovina — moderately demanding, unmarked near the top
• Take the green-marked trail from Demänová saddle to Talapkov Beskyd, then continue via forest paths toward Bukovina

• No marked trail leads directly to the summit — access is via forest paths requiring good orientation skills
• The historic Orava Forest Railway runs along the southern foot of the mountain
