Oltářík is a romantic castle ruin perched on the isolated hill of Hrádek in the České středohoří (Central Bohemian Uplands), rising above the village of Děkovka. Founded by the Hussite captain Jakoubek z Vřesovic in the first half of the 15th century, it's a great destination for those who love a mix of history and dramatic volcanic scenery.

The lone volcanic peak rewards hikers with a full 360-degree panorama over the rolling hills of the Uplands and the lowlands of the lower Ohře river valley. The approach winds along steep, rocky slopes, and the surviving remains — a gateway and a residential tower — blend atmospherically into the rugged terrain. The site feels wild and quiet in every season, with especially clear views in spring and autumn.
