The Kammweg Erzgebirge - Vogtland is a ridge trail continuing a long tradition of crest hiking through the Ore Mountains and Vogtland region, running entirely on German territory. The eastern section covers 77 km and offers a rewarding mix of forested paths, open ridge sections and traditional mountain towns.

The route follows the crest line of the Erzgebirge, alternating between gently rolling wooded terrain and more open stretches with views across the surrounding valleys. Marked with the colour #3182ce, the trail is easy to follow even where it crosses other local paths. Along the way hikers pass through typical Saxon mountain villages and scenic viewpoints, forming part of a wider network of Kammweg trails that historically extended much further east into the Sudetes and Krkonoše.

• Moderate difficulty - at 77 km the trail is best tackled over several days, though individual daily stages are manageable for averagely fit hikers.
