Veľká Javorina (969 m) is the highest peak of the White Carpathians, crowned by a tall broadcasting tower visible from miles around. It's a place where engineering and nature meet - a striking transmitter mast standing atop grassy slopes with some of the widest panoramic views in the region.

The surrounding landscape is made up of the gentle, rolling hills of the White Carpathians, covered in forests and meadows. In summer the summit is framed by blooming grasslands, in autumn the forests turn golden and red, and on clear winter days you can spot the outlines of the Little Carpathians and the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. Thanks to its height and open exposure, views stretch as far as Moravia, Austria, and even Hungary.

The transmitter owes its existence to amateur radio enthusiasts from Stará Turá, who in the 1950s wanted to catch the signal of the newly launched Czechoslovak Television - leading to the construction of the first transmitter here in 1958.
