Bradlo (543 m a.s.l.) is the highest point of the Myjavská pahorkatina upland — a forested limestone hill that punches well above its weight thanks to a striking hilltop monument: the Mausoleum of Milan Rastislav Štefánik, one of the founding fathers of Czechoslovakia. History, panoramic views and well-marked trails make this an unmissable stop in western Slovakia.

The summit itself is covered in mixed forest, so views from the very top are limited. The real reward comes at the Štefánik Mausoleum on the ridge just southwest of the peak — from here the horizon opens up in almost every direction. On clear days you can spot Veľká Javorina, Inovec, and on exceptional days even the northern Alps. The surrounding landscape is classic kopaničiar country: rolling hills dotted with scattered farmsteads, mountain meadows and patchwork forests. Spring brings blooming meadows, autumn wraps the hillside in warm colours, and winter offers a quiet, reflective atmosphere.

• The Štefánikova magistrála long-distance trail ends at the Mausoleum — a popular goal for through-hikers.
• Marked trails lead to the mausoleum; the green trail from Priepasné is the only one passing directly over the actual summit.

Štefánik was a Slovak astronomer, general and diplomat who helped create Czechoslovakia — his final resting place atop Bradlo has become one of Slovakia's most cherished national symbols.
