Przysłup Caryński is a charming mountain pass in the Western Bieszczady Mountains, tucked between Połonina Caryńska and Magura Stuposiańska. It's a spot where forest calm meets sweeping mountain panoramas — a perfect breather on a longer ridge hike.

From the pass, you'll enjoy fine views to the southeast toward Bukowe Berdo and the Tarnica massif, all the way to Halicz. Unlike the open meadows (połoniny) nearby, this area feels more sheltered and wooded, though the open views are never far away. Just below the pass sits Koliba Studencka, a well-known resting spot for hikers. In autumn the surrounding forests turn gold and red, in winter the pass lies quiet under snow, and in summer it's a lovely stop along the classic Bieszczady ridge routes.

How to reach the viewpoint

• Wetlina Kościół – red trail via Dział, Mała Rawka, the PTTK shelter 'Pod Małą Rawką', Przełęcz Wyżniańska and Połonina Caryńska — a long, demanding but very scenic route
• Bereżki – trail leading directly to Przysłup Caryński — a shorter and easier alternative
• Nasiczne – educational path via Przełęcz Nasiczniańska, through the former village of Caryńskie

Practical information

• Koliba Studencka, just below the pass, is a good spot to rest
• The route from Nasiczne follows the Caryński stream valley as an educational trail through the former village
• Consider combining the pass with a walk across Połonina Caryńska for the best views

Before Operation Vistula, part of the now-vanished village of Caryńskie, known as Przysłup, stood right here — a piece of history you can still trace along the educational trail.
